Fast forward to the present, and Prescott has emerged as an MVP candidate, steering one of the NFL’s most formidable offenses. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy even drew parallels between Prescott’s recent performance and that of Aaron Rodgers, whom McCarthy guided to two MVP titles in Green Bay.
While Prescott is currently listed at +700 by DraftKings Sportsbook to win the NFL MVP—trailing only Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson—one prominent sports talk show figure remains unconvinced. Joy Taylor, setting her own criteria for the award, passionately dismantled Dak’s MVP case.
This transformation comes after a challenging 2022 season where Prescott led the NFL in interceptions and a sluggish start in 2023, with only six touchdowns in the Cowboys’ initial six games.
