Travis Kelce’s Thanksgiving centered around a feast from KFC.
On the November 22 episode of “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” the Kansas City Chiefs player shared that he would be indulging in KFC for Thanksgiving since he wouldn’t have anyone else around — and that’s exactly what happened.
A representative for KFC confirmed to PEOPLE that the chain organized a Thanksgiving meal for the 34-year-old NFL star and his friends. A snapshot shared by Kelce’s friend, Aric Jones, on his Instagram story showcased several boxes of KFC on a stove, offering a glimpse of the meal.
KFC later disclosed the “TK Thanksgiving order” to PEOPLE and other outlets. The order included 56 pieces of KFC fried chicken, 80 hot & spicy wings, three catering-sized mashed potatoes and gravy, two mac and cheese orders, and two orders of corn.
During the “New Heights” episode, Travis and Jason Kelce mentioned that they wouldn’t be celebrating the holiday together. Travis planned to be in Missouri, while Jason intended to be in Pennsylvania with his wife, Kylie, and their three daughters.
Jason extended an invitation for Travis to make a “quick trip” to see his nieces, emphasizing that there would be an abundance of food. The Kelce family, as revealed by Jason, were not fans of turkey and typically opted for “pork chops” on Thanksgiving during their upbringing.
Although Travis spent Thanksgiving without his beau Taylor Swift, his friends believe their relationship is the “real deal,” according to a source.
It’s anticipated that next year, Travis won’t be enjoying KFC alone.
