Security needs to improve coach recognition on the football field.
During the Thanksgiving Day game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur encountered an obstacle in the form of the Lions’ security team. As the Packers were heading to the locker room at halftime, a security guard at Ford Field attempted to stop LaFleur, who was running at full speed.
Despite LaFleur clearly yelling, “get out of my way,” the security guard and he inevitably collided.
Post-halftime, LaFleur informed FOX’s Tom Rinaldi that such an incident had never happened to him before.
Observers couldn’t resist making light of the situation at Ford Field.
“That’s a charge,” one person joked. “Security guard was in position.”
Another commented, “Clear charge on LaFleur. Security guard had established position.”
Ultimately, the Packers had the last laugh in Detroit, with Jordan Love leading the charge with 268 passing yards and three touchdowns.
