Was there a lack of disclosure regarding Joe Burrow’s wrist injury by the Bengals?
Despite being known for his toughness, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow couldn’t conceal the pain he experienced while attempting to navigate through his wrist injury during Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md.
In the first half, with less than six minutes remaining, Burrow managed to make a 4-yard touchdown pass to running back Joe Mixon on 2nd-and-goal, providing the Bengals with a 10-7 lead.

However, during the Ravens’ subsequent drive, an Amazon broadcast displayed a clip of Burrow on the sideline testing his arm. In the midst of a throwing motion, he abruptly halted, seemingly due to a significant surge of pain.
Subsequently, the Bengals declared Burrow unfit to continue playing for the rest of the game.
The footage of Burrow adds weight to fan speculation fueled by a now-deleted video showing him entering M&T Bank Stadium. In the video, Burrow appeared to be wearing a brace or sleeve on his throwing hand (video here). This has led many to suspect that Burrow entered the game with an undisclosed injury.
If the Bengals failed to disclose a pre-existing injury that Burrow was dealing with, they could be in violation of injury report protocols.
Jake Browning took over as the backup QB after Burrow’s exit, concluding the night with 101 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and no interceptions.
Given the circumstances and the current prevalence of gambling-related concerns, there may be a need for an investigation into the matter.
