The “Michigan versus everybody” sentiment is gaining significant traction.
In a show of solidarity, Michigan’s cheerleading squad expressed their support for Jim Harbaugh ahead of his in-person hearing at the Washtenaw County Courthouse this Friday. A photo shared on Wednesday night by Michigan cheerleader Riley O’Connor featured the squad donning “Free Harbaugh” shirts.

O’Connor’s caption humorously pointed out, “What the shirt says,” and expressed gratitude to Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, for providing the shirts.
Jim Harbaugh is currently seeking a temporary restraining order to halt the Big Ten’s three-game suspension. In anticipation of the hearing, Harbaugh emphasized his eagerness to address the matter:
“I’m going to talk on Friday,” Harbaugh told reporters. “I’m just looking forward to that opportunity – due process. I’m not looking for special treatment, not looking for a popularity contest, just looking for the merit of what the case is.”
Harbaugh faces the challenge of demonstrating that his absence from the team could result in “irreparable harm” to the program. Additionally, he must establish that the Big Ten is disregarding its own rules by imposing the suspension at this time.
The outcome of Friday’s hearing will undoubtedly be intriguing. If Harbaugh’s suspension stands, Sherrone Moore is likely to coach Michigan against Maryland this Saturday.
In an unexpected twist, Jim Harbaugh is finding himself portrayed as a hero amidst the ongoing developments.
