Travis Kelce, the 34-year-old star of the Kansas City Chiefs, has made his musical debut on “A Philly Special Christmas,” the sophomore Christmas album by the Philadelphia Eagles’ musical trio. The album, set to release on Dec. 1, showcases holiday classics performed by Travis’s brother Jason Kelce and Eagles teammates Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson.

Jason brought Travis on board for the album’s track “Fairytale of Philadelphia,” allowing the NFL stars to celebrate their brotherly love in true Philadelphia style. Travis’s verse features playful jabs at Jason, playfully calling him a “phony” and an “a–,” while expressing a hope for “this Christmas to be our last” in the song.
In a recent episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast, “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” Jordan Mailata joined to discuss the making of the album. During the conversation, when Jason compared Travis’s singing voice to Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, the brothers found it to be an apt comparison.
Travis, however, expressed reluctance at hearing himself sing in that style, noting that he leans more towards a rock voice. Despite this, he admitted he had yet to listen to the final version of the song before its official release.
In addition to Travis Kelce, the album “A Philly Special Christmas” features a guest appearance by singer Patti LaBelle.
Now, Travis can proudly claim musical talent just like his girlfriend.
