Tommy DeVito, the New York Giants quarterback, has chosen a lifestyle that deviates from the conventional image of an NFL QB. Despite having the means to reside in a lavish home on his six-figure professional football salary, DeVito has opted to continue living comfortably with his parents in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. In a recent interview with ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, DeVito shared that he is content with this arrangement, highlighting the convenience it provides for a rookie quarterback navigating the challenges of the NFL:
“For me, it was a no-brainer choosing to live at home. Everything I need is there at the house. The decision was made considering the stress of being a rookie at this level of football, especially from the quarterback position. There’s a lot happening, numerous meetings. So, everything outside of football is taken care of by my family.
I don’t have to worry about laundry, dinner plans, or even making my bed; it’s all waiting for me when I get home. My mom still takes care of those things. Honestly, I don’t even know if I could find a place closer to here than where I live. It only takes me 12 minutes to get here.”
Having played college football at Syracuse and Illinois before entering the professional arena, DeVito went undrafted but signed with the Giants after the 2023 NFL Draft. With Daniel Jones sidelined for the year due to a torn ACL and backup Tyrod Taylor dealing with rib injuries, DeVito is set to start in the upcoming road game against the archrival Dallas Cowboys.

The internet weighed in on his living situation.
DeVito stepped in for Jones during last Sunday’s road loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, and now, as the starting quarterback who resides with his mom, his journey is becoming quite a remarkable tale.
