Is LeBron James still planning to team up with his son in the NBA?
Following the Lakers’ recent loss to the Heat, LeBron James addressed reporters and provided an update on his son Bronny’s recovery progress after experiencing a cardiac arrest in July.
James mentioned that Bronny is scheduled for a medical check-up at the end of November. If everything goes well and he receives medical clearance, the plan is for him to return to practice with USC and potentially participate in games as early as this season.

“We have a significant moment at the end of this month to determine if we can move forward. If he gets the green light, we won’t be far from him rejoining the team, practicing with his teammates, and eventually playing in live game situations,” James stated, as reported by Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times.
He also added, “Everything is progressing positively.”
Bronny’s cardiac arrest incident was attributed to a congenital heart defect, and a family spokesperson mentioned in August that this condition could be treated, as reported by ESPN. In early October, James confirmed that Bronny had successfully undergone surgery and expressed confidence in his son’s return to the Trojans for this season.
USC started their season with an 82–69 victory over Kansas State on Monday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Bronny in attendance on the team’s bench.
Bronny has a significant journey ahead if he aims to be considered an NBA Lottery pick.
