Aaron Rodgers firmly believes in the potential of a swift recovery.
Aaron Rodgers, who suffered an Achilles tendon tear in Week 1, continues to tantalize with hints of his potential return this season. On Monday night, during the New York Jets’ 27-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., Rodgers once again alluded to a comeback.
As post-game pleasantries were being exchanged, Chargers safety Derwin James inquired about Rodgers’ return date. “Give me a few weeks,” replied Rodgers.
Rodgers was likely aware of the presence of cameras during this exchange.
The four-time MVP has been transparent about his aspiration to return in the current season. However, he persists in conveying what some Jets fans interpret as cryptic messages regarding his potential comeback.

Before the Jets-Chargers matchup, Rodgers also seemed to take another positive step in his recuperation from the Week 1 injury.
The Jets’ loss to the Chargers terminated a three-game winning streak. Their opportunity to climb above .500 comes on Sunday when they face the Las Vegas Raiders, who have their own share of challenges to contend with.
It’s evident that without Rodgers, the Jets’ playoff aspirations appear to be dwindling.
