Machine Gun Kelly’s recent interview at an F1 race with Sky News’ Martin Brundle left many social media users baffled. It appeared that MGK was struggling to express himself during the interview, resulting in an awkward and confusing exchange.
While it’s possible that the artist was just having an off day, Brundle seemed to leave the interview feeling as though he had been removed from MGK’s “Christmas card list.”

When asked about his career, MGK hesitated to respond and instead nodded in agreement, prompting Brundle to reiterate his question. Machine Gun Kelly eventually replied, “Oh, my career… I don’t think about my career.” He then offered a somewhat vague compliment about F1 racing, stating, “I think your business is great. It’s loud, your life is on the line, and that’s exciting… I was in a studio the other week, and Lewis Hamilton was in the other studio. That was nice, yeah.”
Later in the interview, MGK proposed that Brundle join him in an “air piano and air guitar collaboration,” a suggestion the British sportscaster declined. However, the artist persisted, urging Brundle to pretend to play keys, leaving the interviewer visibly perplexed.
When Brundle remained steadfast in his refusal, MGK gave the camera a thumbs-down and walked off. Social media users are divided in their opinions about the peculiar interview, with some attributing the oddness to both participants. Others simply find it to be a rather bizarre crossover.
