Amid the NFL’s ongoing action, a surge in arrests is becoming apparent. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Justyn Ross, found himself under arrest on Monday, facing a felony charge.
Ross was apprehended in Shawnee, Kansas, on Monday. A booking report from the Johnson County sheriff’s office outlines that the 23-year-old has been charged with a felony for criminal damage exceeding $1,000 but less than $25,000. Unfortunately, no additional details regarding the arrest have been disclosed.
The Chiefs released a statement on Monday, acknowledging the arrest but refrained from offering any further commentary.
Ross joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent from Clemson last year, although he missed his entire rookie season due to a foot injury.
During training camp, there were murmurs of Ross exhibiting strong chemistry with Patrick Mahomes. Regrettably, this connection hasn’t translated into regular-season success for him. Over seven games, Ross has managed just three receptions for 34 yards.
