Travis Kelce, a football player with a keen interest in fashion, certainly makes his style preferences evident.
Considering he’s currently in a relationship with one of the world’s most famous and successful women, Travis Kelce’s choices are generally seen as impeccable. Nonetheless, the fact that he spends over three hours selecting his gameday outfits remains a somewhat absurd detail.
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end disclosed that he invests “at least” three hours each week in choosing the attire he wears to the stadium, knowing that it will be in the spotlight when he arrives.
Before his cleats touch grass on a game day, before he even laces them up, Kelce said he takes at least three hours to pick out an outfit for walking into the locker room.
“I kind of just do it off of instinct,” said Kelce of how he actually picks out those clothes, during an interview on Monday. The “closet” in Kelce’s house is actually a converted bedroom. He speculated it holds upward of 300 sneakers alone. Having been seen with Swift in New York City over the weekend and attending a Phillies game with his brother Jason on Tuesday night, Kelce is likely back in Kansas City today as the Chiefs prepare for their Week 7 showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers.
So far this season, he has 36 catches for 346 yards and three touchdowns in six games, three of which were played with Swift in attendance.
Whatever Kelce is doing, it’s hard to find fault with. He’s not only on track to be remembered as one of the greatest tight ends in football history but also happens to be dating the world’s most famous woman.
