Seattle Seahawks defensive back Jamal Adams could potentially face disciplinary action from the NFL due to his altercation with the league’s independent concussion evaluator during Monday’s game.
Adams received a blow to the head early in the first drive of Monday’s game, prompting his removal for a concussion evaluation. He did not return to the game and was observed needing to be restrained during the evaluation by the league’s concussion specialist.
According to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday, the league is contemplating taking disciplinary measures against Adams.
It’s worth noting that Adams was making his return to the game after a 13-month absence due to injury. While his frustration was understandable, the league would not condone any aggression towards a doctor simply doing their job.
The Seahawks have a bye in Week 5, providing Adams with an additional week to recover before the team’s next game.
