According to a report by Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post, there is growing speculation that Warren may contemplate a major overhaul of the entire Bears organization in response to the current challenges in the Windy City.
“There is a growing suspicion that team president Kevin Warren has seen enough to realize another reboot is in order,” report on Chicago Bears situation.
“Kevin has seen enough to clean it out,” one unnamed general manager told La Canfora. “It’s my understanding that he has the power to do it, and the coach and GM can’t go around him to ownership.”
Entering his second season as the Bears’ general manager, it seems unlikely that Poles will be replaced. However, the turmoil in Chicago may push Warren towards the radical choice of a complete overhaul in the not-too-distant future.
This unfolds against the backdrop of a recent report indicating that the leadership in Chicago has reservations about Fields as their long-term solution at quarterback.
