Is Rob Gronkowski catching the political bug?
Rob Gronkowski is currently savoring retirement from his football career. However, there may come a time when he decides to take on a rather significant challenge.
Following Week 1 of the NFL season, Gronkowski paid a visit to Capitol Hill. During his visit, the four-time Super Bowl champion made an intriguing comment about his future.

When asked if he had contemplated running for office, Gronkowski responded with a non-committal “not a no.”
While Gronk may go the federal or state route (or both!), he had no shortage of fans from both parties hanging on his every word. Democrats such as McGovern and Republicans such as Claudia Tenney, who represents the district right next to Gronk’s native Buffalo, David Schweikert, who represents the state Gronk chose for college (Arizona), and Lori Chavez DeRemer, who could be a future Patriots fan, all had glowing things to say about the star.
We’ve witnessed former football players venture into the complex realm of politics before, so this idea isn’t as far-fetched as it might seem.
But, for the time being, NFL fans can rest assured that there won’t be a political campaign from Gronkowski.
