Their efforts propelled Deion’s Colorado team to a pristine 3-0 record for the season, secured through a thrilling 43-35 overtime victory against Colorado State.
Following the triumphant game, even Deion’s mother joined in the celebrations, joining the jubilant Buffaloes in the locker room.
In a viral ESPN TikTok clip, Deion is seen addressing the team, with his mother present, alluding to comments made by CSU head coach Jay Norvell before the game.
While reflecting on Norvell’s remarks, Deion stated, “He didn’t explicitly mention my mother, but he insinuated that his mother raised him differently, implying that my upbringing was lacking.” He then handed the microphone over to his mother.
“I raised him right,” Connie Sanders declared proudly. “I also advised him always to stay true to himself. And if you ever need to assert yourself, don’t hold back!”
