LeBron James is reportedly gearing up to make a commitment to Team USA for the upcoming Summer Olympics set to take place in Paris, France next year.
According to The Athletic, the three-time Olympian has been actively reaching out to several NBA stars, rallying them to join him for this prestigious event.
The report reveals that King James has already engaged in conversations with the likes of Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, and Draymond Green, all of whom have enthusiastically agreed to participate.
In addition, players such as Devin Booker, Damian Lillard, De’Aaron Fox, and Kyrie Irving are also showing a strong interest in representing USAB in 2021.
It’s worth noting that LeBron’s decision to rejoin Team USA was not influenced by the recent World Cup loss, as his efforts in this direction began well before the team’s exit. Despite his last appearance for the United States dating back to 2012, LeBron James is making this commitment. When the 2024 Olympics come around, he will be 39 years old, while Durant will be 35.

Sources indicate that LeBron James and his fellow NBA stars view the upcoming Olympics as a “last dance,” despite Team USA’s recent challenges in the World Cup.
The United States has clinched four consecutive Olympic gold medals, with LeBron himself having won two golds, and Durant boasting three gold medals. Their aim is to make the next edition equally memorable.
Meanwhile, Stephen Curry, although never having represented USAB in the Olympics, has been part of two World Cup victories.
Durant earned MVP honors in the last Olympics, with Tatum, Green, and Lillard contributing significantly to securing the gold for the United States.
