This NFL season has a distinctly different feel, primarily due to one conspicuous absence: the league’s most accomplished player in history is no longer part of the pursuit of another Super Bowl championship.
In February, Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion, made a second retirement announcement, signaling his genuine commitment to stepping away from football (at least, that’s what we assume).

The NFL itself acknowledged this significant change on their official Instagram page by creating a montage that reflects how the world was back in 1999, which was the last NFL season not to feature Brady.
The video highlights various aspects of that time, including Bill Clinton serving as the President of the United States, Kurt Warner leading the St. Louis Rams to their first-ever Super Bowl victory, and the NFL comprising 31 teams divided into six divisions.
Tom Brady’s remarkable career spanned two decades, primarily with the New England Patriots, who selected him as the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft.
In his final three years in the league, he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he achieved yet another Super Bowl title (his seventh championship ring) in his very first season with the team.
