Stephen A. Smith is not one to confine himself to sports commentary alone.
The renowned ESPN personality has openly declared his support for Gavin Newsom in the 2024 presidential race, albeit with a notable reservation regarding one specific issue.
“I personally believe that if it weren’t for these burdensome high taxes here in California, I would be backing Gavin Newsom,” he voiced.
Smith went on to express his admiration for Newsom’s performance during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, highlighting Newsom’s effectiveness and vigor in defending liberal values against the right-wing perspective, a quality he found lacking in some others, including President Biden.
