Fox Sports host Charissa Thompson recently shared an amusing anecdote about enjoying one too many skinny spicy margaritas with a fan.
Thompson, 41, made her return to the airwaves during Prime Video’s broadcast of the Colts-Eagles preseason finale. She revealed that her enthusiasm got the best of her when she arrived in Philadelphia for her first gig of the 2023 season.
While recounting the incident on her “Calm Down” podcast with Erin Andrews, Thompson explained, “I was in Philly, and I was washing my hands in the bathroom. This sweet girl was like, ‘OMG, I love your podcast.'”
Thompson engaged in a lively conversation with the fan and her fiancé, eventually joining them at their table. However, she confessed, “Then I woke up in the morning and didn’t remember what happened.”
She humorously apologized for her behavior, attributing it to her excitement over people listening to her podcast and her joy at being back on the road. She also gave a nod to the appeal of the spicy skinny margarita that contributed to the memorable evening.
Apparently, the enjoyment of the evening was so intense that Charissa Thompson couldn’t recall how she left the group gathering.
During her “Calm Down” podcast with Erin Andrews on August 31, 2023, Thompson shared the story of drinking with a fan. She humorously recounted, “I had their phone numbers, and I texted them and said, ‘What happened last night?'”
Thompson expressed her gratitude to the fans for ensuring her safe journey home and acknowledged her tendency to have a little too much fun while on the road. She mused, “I’m going to have to be careful out on the road. I’m just having way too much fun. Now that I am happy and lighthearted, I am even more wild than before.”
Erin Andrews shared a laugh in disbelief while sitting in her Wear by EA dressing room during the podcast recording.

The “Calm Down” podcast shared this entertaining clip on Instagram, playfully commenting, “@charissajthompson loves meeting listeners and fans and loves to have a good time! Sometimes a little too much fun.”
Currently, Thompson is in a happy relationship with Steven Cundari, the co-founder of Summit House, a full-service creative marketing and advertising agency. This new love blossomed shortly after her public divorce from sports agent Kyle Thousand in 2022, following two years of marriage.
