Consider Bill Belichick a Swifty?
Similar to many Swifties in New England, Bill Belichick vividly remembers the Eras Tour.
The Patriots head coach recently discussed the record-breaking concert series held at Gillette Stadium and whether he had the opportunity to attend any of the shows.
During an appearance on “The Greg Hill Show” on WEEI, Belichick revealed that he caught a glimpse of Taylor Swift’s performance.
This statement sparked the hosts’ curiosity, leading to further questions about Swift’s rain show in Foxborough.
“That was pretty impressive,” Belichick said on WEEI, via the team’s site. “She’s tough, man. She stood out there and played right through.”
“Officially? I don’t know about that,” Belichick said when asked if he was a Swifty.
Belichick praised the singer’s resilience, acknowledging her impressive four-hour set without interruption. Although Belichick does not officially consider himself a Swiftie, he referenced one of Swift’s songs and its message during the interview.
“Look, I’m definitely on the, ‘you’ve got to calm down,'” Belichick said, alluding to Swift’s song titled “You Need to Calm Down.”
“That’s pretty good. You’ve got to calm down. There’s a lot of times when that’s very appropriate.”
The connection between Belichick and Swift’s song “You Need to Calm Down” suggests that he agrees with its sentiment and believes in its applicability in various situations.
