The lawsuit regarding the late quarterback Dwayne Haskins’ death has reached a “partial settlement.”
The case involved disturbing allegations about the events leading up to his fatal accident involving a truck.
According to the Associated Press, the family’s lawsuit claimed that Haskins was drugged, robbed, and extorted before being struck by a dump truck on the side of a Florida highway on April 9, 2022.

The lawsuit stated that a man and three women robbed Haskins just hours before the tragic accident, with the incidents occurring at various locations such as a hotel in Boca Raton, an upscale golf driving range, a bar, and a nightclub.
However, the lawsuit did not provide any further details regarding these accusations.
The lawsuit named more than a dozen defendants involved in the former NFL quarterback’s death. Haskins’ family accused the dump truck driver of excessive speed, reckless driving, and carrying a cargo load that exceeded the legal weight limit.
They also claimed that the truck Haskins had rented had a defect that caused it to run out of gas, prompting him to pull over and walk alongside the highway. Toxicology reports revealed that Haskins had a blood alcohol level up to three times Florida’s legal limit and also showed the presence of ketamine and norketamine in his system.
Haskins was known for his successful college football career at Ohio State before being drafted in the first round and tragically passing away at the age of 24.
