Broncos coach Sean Payton implemented some unique guidelines for his team during preseason matches, which included prohibiting the use of sunglasses, bucket hats, and interviews on the sideline.
Despite the Jets triumphing over the Panthers with a score of 27-0 on Saturday, Offensive Rookie of the Year, Garrett Wilson, slyly mocked Payton during his own in-game interview.
Wilson sported a Jets bucket hat and sunglasses as a subtle dig at Payton’s rules, although he abided by the regulation that players should not wear jerseys after playing in the preseason.

Although Wilson’s true intentions are not confirmed, many speculate that it was a response to Payton’s widely circulated remarks about Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
Wilson, the current holder of the Offensive Rookie of the Year title, responded with a smile and opted for a more gracious approach when questioned about the matter.

Payton publicly criticized Hackett, stating that his stint as the Broncos head coach last season may have been one of the worst coaching performances in NFL history.
Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has already supported his offensive coordinator in the face of these comments.
