This week, the Jets made a significant addition to their offensive lineup by signing running back Dalvin Cook to a one-year contract worth a potential $8.6 million.
During a joint practice between the Buccaneers and Jets, Cook was seen on Wednesday.
He confirmed to reporters that he would be signing his contract with the Jets, attending meetings, and then returning home to Florida over the weekend.
However, Cook will not be with the team this weekend as he wants to be present for the birth of his first child.

In a previous statement to the media, before signing with the Jets, Cook mentioned that if he were to join forces with Aaron Rodgers, the Jets could become a “superteam.”
He expressed confidence in the Jets’ current roster and believed that his addition, paired with Rodgers, would elevate the team’s performance.
Only time will tell if the Jets can fulfill their potential, but there is no doubt that head coach Robert Saleh has assembled a talented roster.
