Stephen A. Smith recently appeared as a guest on the popular show Podcast P with Paul George.
During their conversation, Stephen A. expressed his desire to have a dream debate on his show, First Take.
He mentioned that the obvious choice for him would be Charles Barkley, considering his impressive career as a Hall of Famer and one of the greatest NBA players of all time.
“The obvious answer would be Charles Barkley because of what we see him do,” the “First Take” co-host responded. “We see him on TNT for so long, we forget; the brother is a Hall of Famer and one of the all-time greats.”
However, Stephen A. also revealed that the person he would love to have on the show with him or opposite him is Kevin Garnett.
“I would tell you this, the person that I would love to sit on a set with me or across from me any day of the week is Kevin Garnett,” Smith continued. “Cause he’s a real one. First of all, being real is one thing, but your ability to articulate your position with presence and force matters.”
He added, “Now we would have to talk to KG because FCC airwaves, this brother sometimes doesn’t pay attention to that but that’s the deal with him.”
He described Garnett as a genuine individual who possesses the ability to effectively express his viewpoints with confidence and authority.
However, he did mention that some caution would be necessary when having Garnett on the show due to his tendency to sometimes disregard the regulations set by the FCC
Nonetheless, Stephen A. expressed his admiration for Garnett’s authenticity and strong presence.
