According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Ezekiel Elliott, a former Dallas Cowboys star, has found a new home as a free agent.
He will be signing a one-year contract worth $6 million with the New England Patriots.
Elliott recently visited the Patriots and has expressed his intention to wear his college number, No. 15, in New England. Rapoport reported the news on Monday, stating that the Patriots were in need of backfield help and that Elliott’s successful visit led to the signing.

Once considered one of the most productive running backs in the NFL, Elliott’s performance has seen a decline in recent years. However, he still excels as a pass blocker and in short-yardage situations.
Joining the Patriots under the coaching of Bill Belichick, Elliott hopes to revive his career and contribute to the team’s success.
The Patriots had a disappointing season in 2022 but aim to bounce back and compete in the AFC East for the upcoming 2023 season, which begins in a month.
