Jonathan Taylor, running back for the Indianapolis Colts, has denied reports suggesting that he suffered a back injury during the offseason while away from the team.
This comes after Stephen Holder of ESPN reported that Taylor had failed his pre-training camp physical. According to Holder, the Colts are considering moving Taylor from the physically unable to perform list to the non-football injury list as a result.
The team reportedly learned about the alleged back injury when Taylor reported for camp on Tuesday.
Now less than a week later it appears his back is no better.
Video of Taylor walking gingerly is going viral.

Taylor currently has a $4.3 million base salary in 2023.
Reports indicate that Taylor requested a trade on Saturday after meeting with owner Jim Irsay on his private bus during practice. He is seeking a new deal as his contract is set to expire after the 2023 season.
Irsay has stated that the team has no plans to trade Taylor and has not considered offering him a contract extension at this time. Taylor, who was drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has been an integral part of the Colts since joining the team.
In his 43 career games, he has amassed 3,841 rushing yards and scored 33 touchdowns, making him the leading rusher in the 2021 season.
