Shareef O’Neal, the son of Shaquille O’Neal, responded to an online troll who tried to blame him for Bronny James’ cardiac arrest.
Bronny, the eldest of LeBron James’ children, collapsed during practice with his USC teammates and was rushed to the hospital.
Despite the scary situation, fans have been sending messages of support.
However, a Twitter user used this opportunity to troll Shareef, referencing his own heart issues and suggesting that he was the cause of Bronny’s condition.
“Bronny started hanging with Shareef and now look,” the troll wrote. “@SSJreef stay yo A away from him he’s destined for greatness not overseas ?”
Shareef, who had open-heart surgery in 2018, didn’t hold back in his response.
“That is very disrespectful of you to say,” he wrote in a tweet that’s since been deleted. “I’ve been around Bronny for a very long time before this happened … I’ll pray for you. You need help … sick that you would even say something like that ???????????????#dummy.”
He called the troll’s comment disrespectful and expressed his disappointment, emphasizing that he has been close to Bronny for a long time and would pray for the troll.
Although he generally avoids acknowledging negativity on social media, he felt the need to address this particular troll.
