Stephen A. Smith loves drama.
During Monday’s episode of First Take, tensions boiled over between Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Clark, resulting in Smith storming off the set.
The heated debate occurred when Clark expressed his belief that Dak Prescott would have a stronger season, thus improving the Dallas Cowboys’ performance. Additionally, Clark asserted that the Cowboys might boast one of the NFL’s top defenses this year.
Smith, however, found these claims laughable, pointing out the perennial disappointment associated with the Cowboys.
“I’ve said ‘If the nuclear bomb dropped, it’s rats, roaches and Cowboys fans.’
Expressing his frustration, Smith continued, “It’s amazing to me after all the years of futility they have you and everybody else sitting up there and going, ‘They gonna be better this year, they gonna be better this year.’ Stop it, they’re gonna be what they’ve been being.”
The intense exchange ultimately prompted Smith to walk off the set per The Sun, showcasing the passionate nature of sports discussions.
Stephen A. is a great actor.
