When asked about what fans can anticipate from him, Embiid stated:
“I just want to win a championship, regardless of where that may be, whether it’s in Philly or elsewhere. I simply wish to experience the feeling of winning one for the first time before contemplating the next one.”

He acknowledged that winning a championship is no easy task and requires a collective effort from a team rather than relying solely on one or two individuals.
“It’s not easy, but it takes more than one, two, three guys. Gotta have good people around you. Every single day, I work hard to be at that level so I can produce and make it happen. Every single day, I’m working towards that goal. That’s where my mindset has always been.”
Embiid emphasized his commitment to working tirelessly every day to reach the level necessary to make his championship dreams a reality, emphasizing that it has always been his mindset.
While he considered the MVP award as an “added bonus,” his ultimate focus remains on the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
As these remarks circulated on social media, Embiid seemed to suggest that his mention of “anywhere else” was meant to be tongue-in-cheek or provocative.
During his MVP season, he averaged 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game.
Embiid has been named an All-Star in six of the last seven seasons. Notably, the Philadelphia 76ers have not reached the NBA Finals since 2001.
