Patrick Mahomes, the successful quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs and reigning Super Bowl MVP, recently had an interview with Nate Burleson of CBS News.
The interview, set to air on Monday on CBS Mornings, covered a range of topics including football and fatherhood.
In an exclusive clip from the interview, Mahomes expressed his enjoyment of playing the role of the antagonist when facing off against other NFL teams.
He mentioned that while it’s exciting to be the hero at the Chiefs’ home stadium, he also finds it equally thrilling to defeat division opponents on their own turf. Mahomes admitted that he takes pleasure in being the “villain”, even if he tries to conceal it with a serious demeanor.
He and his wife Brittany Mahomes have a daughter named Sterling Skye Mahomes and a son named Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
Britany has been extremely front facing during Patrick’s NFL career, and apparently she wasn’t prepared for what was to come.

“I was not prepared for this,” Brittany told Nate Burleson, laughing. “And at such a young age. We were in love and I loved him with all of my heart.
“But, you know, I didn’t expect it to skyrocket this soon, and us kind of just being thrown into the fire like this.”
“When I started posting on Instagram me screaming and getting rowdy in the suite,” Brittany told Burleson while CBS played the video of her showering fans with champagne. “I think the first time I did that it got blown up — and it’s like, ‘She’s crazy, this is too much.’
“I ultimately learned that you don’t have to share everything that you do in your life.”
