Hemsley later apologized for the inappropriate gesture during her post-fight interview, although she defended her intention to express herself.
The broadcasting network, DAZN, which was airing a Kingpyn event for the first time, did not issue an immediate apology to viewers for the explicit incident. Despite the controversy, Hemsley’s performance showed notable improvement since her previous matchup, where she faced a dominant defeat against Jully Poca in April.
