The young NBA star Ja Morant’s basketball career has hit a pause due to his off-court decisions that involve him pulling out weapons on Instagram Live.
Morant received an 8-game suspension without pay for flashing a gun at a strip club and stated that he would learn from his actions, but he repeated them again while in a car with friends and listening to rap music. Following this incident, a stripper from Shotgun Willie’s, where Morant first got in trouble, demanded an apology and suggested that he should be banned from all clubs and have his NBA career taken away due to the country’s current circumstances on gun violence.

“He’s clearly begging for attention and trying to be a baller. He should be banned from all clubs and get his NBA career taken away given our country’s current circumstances on gun violence.”

“I don’t foresee an apology [anytime] soon,” one of the dancers at the famous Shotgun Willie’s nightclub told the NY Post. “He’s a boy.”
“I just wonder about how he’s still on the team,” another dancer added.
Despite their demand, dancers at the famous Shotgun Willie’s nightclub stated that they don’t foresee an apology from Morant soon and wondered how he is still on the team. Morant’s visit to Shotgun Willie’s during the regular season might have derailed the Memphis Grizzlies’ entire season when he broadcasted himself holding a gun on Instagram Live. The NBA has time to investigate Morant’s latest gun issue and may end up dropping the hammer on him since he didn’t learn anything the first time around.
This suspension will undoubtedly hurt the team for the 2023-2024 season.
