There’s nothing quite like expressing a desire to spend the rest of your life with someone than proposing at a sporting event.
Love took center stage at the Cowboys-49ers game at Levi’s Stadium last Sunday night, making a surprise appearance in an unexpected manner.
Following what most would agree was a lopsided and less-than-exciting affair on Sunday Night Football, a proposal unfolded – an event that might not be everyone’s preferred choice for such a momentous occasion but unfolded nonetheless.

A devoted 49ers fan seized the opportunity, dropping to one knee immediately after his team’s impressive 42-10 victory. His significant other, a loyal Cowboys fan, suddenly found herself at the center of attention when he popped the big question.
As he proposed, the female fan was seen shedding tears. Yet, it remains unclear whether those were tears of joy stemming from the proposal or tears of sorrow due to her team’s 32-point loss.
NBC’s broadcast duo, Cris Collinsworth and Mike Tirico, couldn’t resist injecting a bit of humor into this unexpected twist before wrapping up their coverage.
Collinsworth playfully remarked, “Would he have done it if the Cowboys had won? I don’t think so. I think he’s holding the ring. You can’t start a marriage like that, with her having the upper hand. But with a 49ers win, ‘Here you go, let’s get married.'” Leave it to Collinsworth to add his unique perspective to a proposal.
So, congratulations to the joyful couple! It seems this unconventional proposal served as the perfect distraction for a Cowboys fan to momentarily forget about her team’s less-than-stellar performance.
Balancing the dynamic of a blended family with loyalties to both the Niners and Cowboys may present its challenges, but hopefully, they can find a way to navigate their future together.
