The ongoing dispute between Michael Oher and the Tuohy Family has taken a new twist.
Oher has filed a lawsuit claiming that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy never legally adopted him as they had previously stated.
Instead, Oher alleges that the couple deceived him into signing a conservatorship, which allowed them to profit from his story without providing him any financial benefits from “The Blind Side,” the movie based on their lives.
The Tuohys have denied these accusations and their lawyer, Marty Singer, has stated that Oher attempted to extort $15 million from them.
Singer claims that Oher threatened to tarnish their reputation unless they paid him a significant sum.
“Singer — in a lengthy statement to TMZ Sports — said Oher came to the Tuohys prior to filing his 14-page petition in Shelby County, Tenn. … and threatened them, saying if they didn’t pony up an eight-figure check, he’d “plant a negative story about them in the press,” TMZ wrote.
These allegations have sparked discussions on social media, but the validity of both sides’ claims has yet to be determined.

Oher, a former college and professional football player, is seeking reconciliation with the Tuohys; however, they are determined to defend their reputation and fight against what they view as an unjust lawsuit.
I have a feeling one day this Blind Side drama will end up as a movie, or a least a cool doc.
We are being played this is nothing but a set up for the next Netflix documentary. https://t.co/1cwgvt4GdJ
