Two prominent female figures in the sports world caused a social media frenzy when they appeared together on live television.
Kay Adams, a well-known sports media personality, invited golf influencer Paige Spiranac for an interview on Friday’s episode of “Up & Adams.”
During the interview, Adams proposed a challenge to Spiranac – a putt-putt match between the two of them.
“I didn’t really mean it when I said that because I’m just not a golf gal. I need you to get me into it,” Adams said. “Part of me thinks maybe putt-putt, some sort of windmill situation, I’m hitting it into a clown’s mouth and then we take some tequila shots. Does that sound good to you, Paige?”
Adams admitted that she was not a golf enthusiast, but was willing to give it a try with Spiranac’s guidance. She suggested a fun twist to the game, imagining a windmill obstacle and taking tequila shots after each hole.
“100 percent on the tequila shots, but it’s really funny because everyone believes if you’re good at golf, you’ll be good at putt-putt. But it’s actually the direct opposite,” Spiranac replied. “I’m a horrendous putt-putt player, but I can crush it on the golf course. So I actually think it’d be a good match between us.”

Spiranac, although acknowledging her lack of skill in putt-putt, agreed to the challenge and emphasized the misconception that being good at golf automatically translates to success in miniature golf. Aside from her hosting duties on “Up & Adams,” Kay Adams also appears in commercials for DICK’S Sporting Goods.
She was prominently featured in a back-to-school wear advertisement last year and is set to appear in another commercial for the company in 2023.
Prior to her current role, Adams spent six years as a host on Good Morning Football, playing a vital role in the show’s success since its launch in 2016.
