Aaron Rodgers is highly appreciated by his new teammates in New York, as shown by the special gift cornerback Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner presented to him.
Gardner, the 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year, wears a stylish chain that features the word “Sauce” and a bottle with the same word. Now, Rodgers has received his own customized chain. The New York Jets shared a video of Gardner giving Rodgers a green and silver chain that reads “8,” the number Rodgers wears with his new team.
Rodgers expressed his gratitude and asked Gardner to put the necklace on him.

This gesture is an incredibly cool way to welcome a star like Rodgers to the team. Gardner deserves praise for his classy gesture.
New York acquired Rodgers in a major trade with the Green Bay Packers prior to this year’s draft. Earlier in the offseason, Rodgers had contemplated retirement and even embarked on a darkness retreat to help him make a decision about his playing future.
The New York Jets, with Rodgers on board, are aiming to end their long playoff drought, as the last time the organization made it to the postseason was in 2010.
They will kick off their 2023 season with a home game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, September 11.
