Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was pulled over by Minneapolis State Patrol officers early Thursday morning and given a citation for reckless driving.
According to the police report, Addison, who was the Vikings’ first-round pick from USC in 2023, was caught going 140 mph in a 55 mph speed limit zone in his Lamborghini. This incident has drawn comparisons to former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, who caused a fatal car crash while driving under the influence.

The official Roster Watch Twitter account expressed surprise that Addison would engage in such behavior after witnessing the consequences suffered by Ruggs.
Others also criticized Addison for failing to learn from Ruggs’ actions. NBC26’s John Miller called it “mind-blowing,” and many others echoed the sentiment that Addison should have known better.
