Dennis Rodman is worming out of his comments about Larry Bird.
Dennis Rodman, known as the Rebound King, was often misunderstood due to his unfathomable behavior.
After game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals in 1987, Rodman used a clear word to diss Celtics legend Larry Bird that couldn’t be misconstrued.
He called Bird “overrated” and questioned his multiple MVP awards compared to Magic Johnson.
This disrespectful language was not appreciated by NBA fandom, even without social media.
Later, Rodman apologized to Bird for his insensitive comments, which were believed by many to be racially motivated. Dennis is still sticking by his apology, claiming it had nothing to do with race, and it was just a matter of being pissed that he lost.

The 1986 Celtics led by Larry Bird is one of the greatest NBA teams of all time and they had a 50-1 record at home that same year, I believe.
Bird was a monster on the court who could do basically everything at an elite level, killer competitive instinct, unselfish team player with Hall of Fame teammates, and was trash talking to everyone along with telling opposing players what he’s going to do, how he’s going to do it, and then back it up.
A lot of people don’t know the level Bird was playing in the 80’s and how the rivalry between he and Magic saved the league.
