Baby Gronk is still going viral.
A young football player, nicknamed “Baby Gronk”, gained viral fame on social media but it did not last long. The Athletic released a profile on “Baby Gronk” and his father, Jake San Miguel, who boasted about the “five or six days a week of training” and strict diet of “clean foods, salmon and brown rice” that his son adhered to.
Many criticized the father’s actions, including former NFL linebacker Will Compton who accused him of exploiting his son for fame and money. Baby Gronk’s father retaliated and defended his actions, arguing that he was simply creating content for social media.

Former NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz also spoke out against the father’s “aggressive” methods and called for him to “let the kid be a kid”.
Yea… this is aggressive. Let the kid be a kid. He's going to burn out before he even reaches college football https://t.co/9D2hQBBymu

While it’s common for teenagers to gain fame online, starting at such a young age can set a worrying precedent for other parents who may follow suit.
The backlash towards Baby Gronk’s father is expected to intensify as his son’s fame grows.
