Scott Foster always seems to get plenty of attention.
Monday’s Game 7 between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat is highly anticipated. It will be officiated Scott Foster, John Goble, Tony Brothers, and Kevin Scott.
Last year, Foster officiated Boston’s Game 7 win over Miami in the conference finals. However, the prospect of Foster officiating again brings little joy to the Heat fans because of their poor record in games he has officiated.
The NBA has assigned Scott Foster to be the crew chief for tonight's Eastern Conf Finals Game 7 between the Heat and the Celtics.
The Heat recently snapped a 10-game losing streak with Foster officiating, and is 2-13 W-L over the last two seasons and 3-12 against the spread. pic.twitter.com/UBWZGAFX6s

In general, Scott Foster is well-known among NBA fans and players. According to a survey conducted by The Athletic’s Sam Amick and Josh Robbins, Foster was voted by NBA players as the worst referee in the league. However, the “Other” option received the highest overall votes.
“He’s the worst ref to ever do it in the NBA,” one player said in the exercise. “He takes everything personal. He’s awful.”
In the playoffs, it’s a given that one fanbase will inevitably be dissatisfied with the officiating. However, Heat fans are not feeling too good about Foster officiating this crucial game.
